The easy starts and the hold-your-nose ones

At the top there is no decision. Cristopher Sanchez (521 projection) draws Kansas City and Detroit, two of the softer offenses on the board, and Paul Skenes and Jacob deGrom are auto-starts on talent alone even when the matchups are lukewarm. Watch deGrom's second turn against Houston, that is the one to sweat.

The middle is where two starts earn their keep. Cameron Schlittler (New York, facing Tampa Bay and Washington) and Max Meyer (Miami, facing Seattle and Cleveland) are the streamer sweet spot: rosterable arms with two winnable matchups. Kyle Harrison drawing St. Louis twice is a pure volume play, two cracks at the same beatable lineup.

One caution: this early in the week only one of each pitcher's two starts is confirmed, the second is projected off the rotation turn. Rainouts and skips happen. Check the probable-pitchers page before lineups lock, and treat the back half as likely, not locked.
