What the site does

managr projects every rostered and rosterable player in professional baseball and re-ranks the board each morning against the current roster, injury and playing time picture. The surfaces built on top of that are redraft and dynasty rankings, market edge detection, prospect and first year player boards, live injury and roster tools, and a research section. Every board is rebuilt daily.

The projection engine, the market edge model and the ranking surfaces are all documented on the site, and every daily board is archived, so past calls stay checkable rather than quietly disappearing when they age badly.

How the projections are built

The engine is layered rather than a single model, and each layer is named on the player's own page so a number can be taken apart:

• Playing time modeling. Projected plate appearances are anchored to a workload tier, such as full time, regular, platoon or backup catcher, using historical role distributions.
• Shrinkage. Observed rates regress toward position specific population means by an amount inversely proportional to sample size, which catches small sample outliers.
• Confidence layers. Four orthogonal multipliers: Roster (depth chart), Role (playing time certainty), Sample (career plate appearances) and Market (consensus alignment). All four are shown for every player.
• Value above replacement. Value is measured against the replacement level at the player's primary position, and those levels are floored per position so shortstop scarcity does not artificially inflate stable middle infielders.

Research

The research section is a growing collection of fantasy baseball studies. Each one carries its methodology, its data sources and, where the data exists today, live computed findings. Studies that failed their pre registered test are published too, which is the point of registering them in advance.

managr is free to use and is supported by advertising, served by Google when ads are shown. It does not sell or rent user data, and it does not pass account, settings or league data to advertisers.
