7 debuts in the last 10 days, none worth rostering yet.
7 players made their major-league debut in the last 10 days. 3 of them are on the ranked board at all, which is the number that matters: a debut generates far more roster churn than it usually deserves, and the engine only carries roughly 1,300 players because most call-ups do not project startable value in their first weeks.
| Player | Pos | Debut | Proj pts | Value | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Josue De Paula | OF | Sep 11 | 34 | 86 | Watch |
| Emmanuel Rodriguez | OF | Sep 12 | 6 | 14 | Watch |
| Brody Hopkins | P | Sep 13 | 1 | 7 | Watch |
| Rudy Martin Jr. | RF | Sep 11 | - | unranked | Not yet |
| Scott Bandura | LF | Sep 13 | - | unranked | Not yet |

That is the honest read, and it is the usual one. Being absent from the board is a projection in itself, the engine sees no startable value yet, not that it has failed to notice him. A debut is the start of a sample, and the players worth adding off one are rare enough that treating every call-up as an opportunity costs more roster spots than it wins.
Value is the replacement-adjusted number the boards sort on. Roughly 134 is the 300th-ranked player, the last man rostered in a standard 12-team league, so anything below that is a free agent whatever the prospect pedigree says.
A player missing from the table entirely has not debuted in this window. A player in it marked unranked has debuted and is not projected to be startable yet; that can change quickly with playing time, and this piece runs daily.

Recency weighting: prior seasons contribute by recency (more recent = more weight) and sample size (more PA = more weight).
Shrinkage: observed rates regress toward position-specific population means by an amount inversely proportional to sample size. Catches small-sample outliers.
Quality-of-contact adjustments: xwOBA, barrel rate, and bat-tracking metrics replace luck-driven outcome stats with skill-driven ones.
PT modeling: projected PA is anchored to workload tier (full-time, regular, platoon, backup catcher) using historical role distributions.
Monte Carlo: N simulated seasons per player using projected mean + uncertainty, producing P10 / P50 / P90 distribution and bust%.
Confidence layers: four orthogonal multipliers: Roster (depth chart), Role (PT certainty), Sample (career PA), Market (consensus alignment). The Audit tab shows all four for every player.
VAR: Value Above Replacement at the player's primary position. Replacement levels are floored per position so SS scarcity doesn't artificially inflate stable middle infielders.
